Bansko is a city in Southwestern Bulgaria, the administrative center of Bansko municipality, Blagoevgrad district. In the 19th century, it was the center of Bulgaria in Pirin Macedonia on a territory bordering Greek and Turkish populations. The city is a famous winter resort. The highest point of the ski center is 2560 m, and the lowest - 1000 m. There are 75 km of ski trails in Bansko, of which 35% are for beginners, 40% for advanced and 25% for experienced skiers and snowboarders.

80% of the tracks are equipped with artificial snow machines. The ski center also offers a 16 km ski track, equipped with artificial snow machines and lighting, connecting the higher parts of the resort to the city. There are also a cabin cableway with a cabin capacity of up to 8 people, one 6-seater lift, six 4-seater lifts, one 3-seater lift, six ski tows and ten children's ski tows.
