Tryavna is a convenient starting point for day trips to Sokolsky and Dryanovsky monasteries, the Architectural-Ethnographic complex Etar, the village of Bojentsi /including following marked walking trails/, the town of Veliko Tarnovo and Uzana winter resort /offering several ski runs during the winter season and surrounding sites, suitable for hiking and mountain biking, rock climbing and speleology/.
