The hotel building is finished in 2003 and is partially built over the ruins of an early Christian tomb, part of the western necropolis of the ancient town Odesos. The tomb dates from the beginning of 5th century AC. The architect of the building managed to keep the integrity of the unique find by embedding the ruins in the hotel's lobby. Golden Tulip Varna Hotel was completely renovated in 2018.



The hotel works under the name of Business Hotel Varna until the beginning of 2006, when it becomes part of the famous hotel chain Golden Tulip.
