Description:
Welcome to Gela - "The Valley of bells and songs ". In the upper part of the village is situated "EAGLE NEST " villa - a nice combination between Rhodope spirit and comfort. A marvelous view reveals from here towareds the highest peaks of the mountain - Perelik, Prespa and Persenk.

"EAGLE NEST " villa contains 6 two-bed rooms, 1 three-bed room and 3 apartments. All the rooms are with separate balconies, bathrooms, TV (digital television) and ice-boxes. The apartments are with kitchens and the bathrooms are supplied with hydro-massage devices.
Traditional rhodope specialities and classical Bulgarian dishes are offered in the Tavern.


A lot of mountain eco-paths are laid in the region, leading to sightseeing like Lednitsata cave, Gradishte fortress, Orpheus peak and Turlata. The villa offers mountain guides for daily trips in the region. Horse trips can be organized and also hunting and fishing.
Close to the villa can be found a ski-lift with a ski-wardrobe. The snow cover here is for about 5 months during the winter season.
Yagodina cave, The Devil`s gorge cave and Uhlovitsa cave can be reached by car for an hour from Gela.
The villa is directly supplied by a separate water spring and the water has a superb natural taste.

The village of Gela is located 95 km. away from Plovdiv, 30 km. from Smolian, 30 km. from Devin and 18 km. from the ski-resort of Pamporovo. The architectural monument Shiroka luka is situated some 7 km. from the villa.
Gela is one of the ancient setlements in the world (3300 years history) Here during the Antiquity the Thracian tribe BESI had developed its unique culture. It was the most enlightened tribe among the Thracians. The BESI tribe had a script of its own. Relics from this mystic historic period can be found in the surroundings of Gela.
Here every year in the beginning of August Saint ILIA Day is celebrated with a traditional rhodope bag-pipe performance.
