The village bears its name from a Juniper tree abundant in the area and from whose fruit the gin drink is made. This is the perfect place both for the winter, with its timeless feeling, and the summer, with its aroma of blooming fields with juniper and wormood.
The village of Hvoina is at 680 meters altitude, which makes it perfect for cardio-vascular activity. It is situated 50 km from the city of Plovdiv and 30 km from the ski resort of Pamporovo.
